To mark the beginning of a new chapter in the history of UTS, we will welcome Dr. Thomas G. Walsh as UTS’s 7th president on October 10. For academic institutions, inaugural events allow the school’s stakeholders to become better acquainted with the new president. The term “inauguration” refers to a series of events planned in celebration of the installation of a new president. The “installation” is the actual moment the new president assumes the insignia of office, which for the Unification Theological Seminary is the medallion worn by the president. The ceremony itself is referred to as an “investiture.”
