Justice Not Served: Rev. Sun Myung Moon and the Danbury Papers

July 20th is the 37th anniversary of the day Rev. Sun Myung Moon began his 18 month sentence at the Danbury Federal Prison. Join us on that day to have a better understanding of the lamentable circumstances that led to injustice, rather than justice being served through the indictment, conviction, and imprisonment of Father Moon.
The event is co-sponsored by the American Clergy Leadership Conference and Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, USA. Check out the flyer below for more details!

Faith, Interfaith and the Search for Peace

Bishop MunibYounan, former president of the Lutheran World Federation, and a president of Religions for Peace, is a Sunhak Peace Prize Laureate, honored for his many decades of service to the promotion of ecumenical and interreligious dialogue and cooperation. A Palestinian Lutheran based in Jerusalem, Bishop Younan has been instrumental in promoting Lutheran-Catholic dialogue and reconciliation, culminating in an historic meeting with Pope Francis. His work throughout the Middle East has earned the respect of millions as he has built bridges among Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Druze populations.
Our program will include several additional panelists, along with a group of graduate students from UTS, engaged in exploring with Bishop Younan the important relationship between religion and peace, highlighting the importance of interreligious dialogue as an instrument of promoting mutual respect, understanding and recognition of shared values and ideals.

Family Federation USA, Tribenet, and UTS will co-sponsor an historical event on July 19, 2022, commemorating the 38th Anniversary of Father Moon's entrance into Danbury Prison on July 20, 1984.
Join us as we listen and learn from Dr. Peter Kim who served as Special Assistant to Father and Mother Moon during this important chapter in Unification and in American history.
Dr. Thomas Walsh, President of UTS and Chairman of UPF International, will conduct this historic interview with Dr. Peter Kim. This event is for family and friends, as well as religious, civic, and academic leaders.

47th Annual Commencement Ceremony

Unification Theological Seminary's 47th Annual Commencement Ceremony will be held at our main campus in New York City on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2 pm ET. In addition to the presentation of the master and doctoral degrees, an honorary doctorate degree will be conferred upon Former European Commissioner and Special Envoy for Religious Freedom, Hon. Ján Figel'.
