Freud and his Discontents by Derek Dey (UTS'87)
This has been a long time coming. I promised a dear friend to take care of Freud because he came across as a bit of a problem. So here is the book so far in e-format. It covers Freud's life, works and those who met in his home in the early days on Wednesdays - The Psychoanalytic Society where some stayed as Freudians and some left to forge their own career. The life and times, the ideas, books and papers are all there as is his ground - parents, the Jewish Enlightenment, anti-Semitism in Galacia and of course his Catholic nanny. It is well researched and not always critical of Freud.
