On Saturday May 22nd, members of the Class of 1980 were able to come together and celebrate the thirty years since their graduation over aan Alumni Dinner at Barrytown.
Present were Steve Henkin (with his wife Libby), Jim Borer (accompanied by his wife Lucy), Wayne and Dorothy Hill, Robin and Patricia Graham, Chad Hoover (and his wife Ann), Ray Bacon, Henry Christopher (his wife, Katsuko, and their daughter, Enryka) and Gordon Neufeld with his wife, Mary Jo (Downey) and her daughter.
Frank Zochol represented Mary Lou (Bliss/Zochol) and several alumni and friends from other years were also there to share in a fun filled evening.Dr. Kathy Winings was also there to represent the UTS Administration. By the way, the food was excellent.
The reunion was coordinated by Steve Henkin with his inimitable style, Thanks Steve! Jim Borer was the EmCee at dinner with his special brand of humor. Some letters were read from alumni who could not attend..... Bill Allegar, Jack and June Kiburz, Beth Deshotel (Stronski).
The evening would not have been complete without President David SC Kim and his guidance and insights. All the more remarkable since he had been up since 6 AM and had also attended the UTS graduation ceremonies held in New York City. He began speaking at 9:00 PM and continued full of vigor till 9:45 PM.
Definitely a memorable time. There were walks on the property, presentations and time to remember fellow students who have since passed: Mary Lou Bliss, Monte Vianale, and Mark Wilencik.
